CleanDNS work on behalf of its registrar and registry clients to address abuse within the parameters of the DNS Abuse Framework for many of its clients. Below are some of the reasons why CleanDNS could not assist.
The reported domain abuse is an issue of brand, trademark, copyright, content, intellectual property, or similar.
Domains infringing on intellectual property, brand, trademark, or other such issues need to go through UDRP process to be reassigned. The exception to this is if the domain and/or content on the site is using any of these to engage in phishing, malware, spam, or other attacks outlined in the DNS Abuse Framework. For issues that are purely content related (ie: bullying, slander, etc), please contact the hosting provider about your case.
The reported domain lacked sufficient evidence.
When filing an abuse report, it is critical to include as much information as possible, including files such as screenshots, emails, headers, traffic logs, and anything else that shows how the domain is engaging in abuse. Submitting a report without this information or submitting a report with just this information and little to no narrative explaining the evidence will likely result in the abuse report remaining online.
The domain is already suspended or deleted.
Sometimes, a registrar or registry suspends or deletes a domain before we have a chance to act. In these cases, we will make a record of the report with a note that it was already suspended.
