CleanDNS handles abuse reports on behalf of registrar and registry clients. Upon receipt of an abuse report, we review the report for its claims and the supporting evidence and compare it to the DNS Abuse Framework, which the majority of our clients are members of. If the report fits within the framework, the CleanDNS team escalates the report on your behalf to the responsible party. If the responsible party fails to remediate the abuse within an appropriate timeframe, the team at CleanDNS moves to place the domain on an appropriate hold in order to stop any further abuse and possible victimization. We keep the reporting party updated on progress of remediating the abuse report.
If the abuse report lacks sufficient evidence, the CleanDNS team will inform the reporter as such and may make recommendations on how to improve the report.
If the abuse report isn't something CleanDNS can help with (ie: trademark, copyright, content issues, customer support, etc), the CleanDNS team may respond as such and provide resources that can help with the issue.
